Accessibility Statement
Borges Lettering is committed to ensuring our website and font tools are accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.
Our Commitment
We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA — the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for digital accessibility. Our Type Tester and Font Showcase widgets are built from the ground up with accessibility in mind. Every interactive element is keyboard-operable, labeled for screen readers, and meets color contrast requirements.
Keyboard Navigation
Every element in our font tools can be reached and operated using only a keyboard:
- Tab — move through all controls in a logical order
- Arrow Keys — navigate the full character browser and all dropdown menus
- Escape — close any open dialog or dropdown and return focus
- Enter / Space — activate buttons and select items
- Page Up / Down — skip multiple rows in the character grid
Focus Visibility
A clear focus ring appears around any element that receives keyboard focus. This ring appears only during keyboard navigation — it never shows on mouse clicks or touch, keeping the interface clean for pointer users.
Color Contrast
All text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast requirements:
